What to include

When approaching the Heinz Charitable Trust for funding, please include the following:

·      A short general description of the society and/or project, along with a statement of aims and any other supporting material.

·      An outline of how the cause sufficiently works to foster and support Heinz’s five key programme areas.

For requests that the Heinz Charitable Trust acknowledges to support, issuance of a donation is a discrete event and does not reflect continuing support for the organisation.

Please note that while every effort is made to support the Heinz Charitable Trust’s five key programme areas, many worthwhile applications to the Heinz Charitable Trust may be refused simply because of limited resources.

Remember, the Heinz Charitable Trust does not:

·      Support politically oriented causes in any way.

·      Consider religious appeals if the object is to promote denominational principles.

·      Take advertising space in charity programmes/brochures.

·      Support individuals undertaking educational/vocational studies.

·      Consider unsolicited research projects.

·      Directly support individuals or groups undertaking sponsored events.

·      Accept commercial sponsorship.

Please also note that, generally, only organisations registered as national charity organisations will be considered.
