A Sales Placement at Heinz brings much responsibility,
hands-on account management experience and some real challenges.

 On joining Heinz we received a comprehensive induction which equipped us with the relevant skills, knowledge and resources to embark upon the year. This included a visit to Heinz’s manufacturing operation, product training from Senior Brand Managers, store visits, time shadowing National
Account Managers and a sales training course.

The Account Executive role is largely project based, across wholesale and retail channels enabling you to gain a wide range of experiences across the various markets. Projects have included Cash and Carry account visits, working on range reviews in retails stores, and developing customer contact plans.  

 Responsibility is in no way restricted while you are on this placement, you are entrusted with external accounts and encouraged to make recommendations, develop solutions and input your own ideas.

Through my placement I have gained practical experience to compliment the theory which I have learned at University. The opportunity to be involved in the workings of a multi national company, supported by such an iconic global brand has been invaluable.
